Chicago!!
So, it took me all day (since indecision is such a time-waster), but I'm reserved for Chicago! I'm taking Mom up next week for a few days. Any suggestions for activities?

Bullet Points
Here's to 2010!! Even if 2009 was a fantastic year for you, may 2010 treat you better!

"It's COLD!!" I spoke these words, preceded by a word that may or may not be acceptable in present company, as I was filling a glass with lots of ice for iced tea. Go me.

I was recently disappointed by my mailbox. The first piece of mail that I received at my new apartment: the electric bill.

Access to cable TV is more expensive than access to the Internet, over the same cable. Why's that? (Aside: Is it a bad thing that I applied for the Star Trek Online Beta Test before I have secured Internet access?)

Holiday cards: Uh... I haven't mailed them! So, there's still time to give me your address!! Go here: (http://mojonacho.livejournal.com/21579.html), the comments are screened. I'm a well-known procrastinator, so it may be a while still...

Move-in was a success! A cold, cold success.

Also, I should also announce that I found an apartment.

Holiday Time!!
Yo! It's time, once again, for holiday cards!

Post your address if you'd like one. I'll screen comments, so only I can see them. Last year, did all Christmas cards. This year, anything goes! You choose!! (Try to pick a holiday that's near... I don't have a stockpile like I should.)

Sneaky note to michimusic: Tetris Swallow? Wow. Just, wow. The Korobushka is how I fell in love with violins. Rather, with violinists.

Everyone else: Go here: Mad Toast Live! Listen to show #80 - Water Street Bridge. Enjoy!

Brought to You by the Letter 'C'
Camera: Hopefully, this weekend, I'll spend part of a day taking pictures at the Pirate Festival. I haven't really taken pictures for quite some time, and I'm a little excited. Thanks to Brie for the loan of a camera!

Career: So, I like my job. But, I'm starting to look around at what's open. Elsewhere. I've been full-time here for nearly 2 years, and in this job for about a year and a half. It's not to early to be just looking, is it? It's a good idea to know what's available, right?

Corset: A friend of mine at work is looking to have a corset made for herself. Not for costuming, but for dressing up (I believe). Any ideas where she can start?

Cow: Apparently, a friend of my parents was attacked by his cow. It was in the paper, and everything.

GenCon?
Sneaky note to kyraanne: So, in our copious free time this weekend, I never got around to asking you for your review of GenCon Indy. I'm considering summer road trips, and GenCon is pretty high on my list. Yea? Nay?

Songs?
So, another request!

I'm looking for some songs to sing at Faire this year. Not on stage, just in the lanes. I've always wanted to sing out there, and hopefully, this'll be the year I grow a pair and do it. Well, more. I started slaughtering songs... er, singing... at closing gate, and that's been great!

Right now, I'm looking at "Whiskey in the Jar" and "Black Velvet Band." More ideas?

Life is strange...
I discovered a couple of days ago that someone has been pretending to be me. I suppose I could be flattered, but... no. He was pretending to be me so that he could MySpace-stalk his ex-wife, a friend of mine from college.

I could also use this as a reason to deepen my hatred for MySpace, but again, no. There are enough reasons to hate MySpace without creepy stalker dudes.

CD Player? Repo?
So, couple of things:

-I need to replace the CD player in my car (since it won't play the CDs that are in it, and won't eject.) Ideas? (::ahem:: greenashes64??) With my driving season coming up, I think it's about time.

-Repo: The Genetic Opera. People keep talking (rather, fatesarchitect keeps talking) about it. I am... intrigued. I'm not a horror guy, but it looks really interesting. Yea/Nay? Reviews?

It's the Holiday Card time of year once again!! Leave me your address, and you'll get a card!! Comments are screened, so you can leave your address in confidence.

I'm going back to my personal roots. All the cards this year will be Christmas cards, unless otherwise requested.

Tardy Cards!!!
Yo! I'm late. I just sent out cards to those of you that sent me your address before Christmas (two readers), and to those of you who sent me a card (two more readers, plus one person who doesn't read this, to my knowledge.) Forgive my tardiness, but I believe that the cards should make up for any injustice.

Cards!!!
Hey all!

As reminded by kyraanne, renbeard, and a recent trip into retail-land, it's holiday time!!

If you'd like a holiday card, leave me your address. I've got some from last year, but if you've moved, or don't want a card, let me know that, too. If you have a particular holiday preference, tell me, or you may get a holiday you don't celebrate (because I'm multi-cultural like that.)

All comments are screened, because I want to keep all the addresses for myself, 'cause I'm greedy. And, to protect privacy and stuff.

Instructions: Each player starts with 7 random habits/facts about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to get tagged & list their names.

1. I've discovered the song that will make me damn-near cry every time I hear/sing it. It's Three Pints Gone's rendition of as song I believe is called "Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ye." I think it's a combination of Bill Masino's storytelling and the fact that my cousin is now stationed at Al-Asad Air Base in Iraq.

2. I just found out that I went to high school with Miss Missouri.

3. My hair is growing back fairly well. Some of it is still short enough to stand up, but it's beginning to remember where it's supposed to go.

4. I truly dislike the job market. Rather, I think it truly dislikes me.

5. Unlike pyros047, who is a hopeless romantic, I seem to be a romantic hopeless. I keep finding myself attracted to those who don't reciprocate.

6. The laptop I mentioned in the earlier post? It's still on my living room table. But, I have a new one that I can actually use properly!

7. I play this game with the self-tag rule. If you wanna play, go ahead and post.

Short update
So, I won't be at dress rehearsal this weekend. But, I think I've got reason enough:

I'm graduating.

Yeah, I'm bragging. I deserve it.
